Biography

Kate represents clients in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, family and business succession planning, business counseling (including planning for closely held businesses and their owners), business sale transactions, and corporate governance matters for both “for profit” and nonprofit entities.
Kate’s extensive experience representing individuals and family business clients and her practical advice, delivered in a friendly and engaging manner, helps clients achieve their personal and business goals while transferring wealth and family legacy to successive generations. She is focused on understanding client needs, crafting appropriate solutions to sensitive personal and business issues, and delivering responsive and thoughtful service.

Prior to joining Sherman Atlas, Kate practiced at Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP, and she began her career as an associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Kate has consistently been selected by Thomson Reuters as a “Super Lawyer” in New Jersey for mergers and acquisitions.
