Gia Maione Prima Foundation partnered with New York City based Horns to Havana to support a five-day cultural exchange program, “Getting Funky in Havana.”  The trip featured a concert series of leading New Orleans bands who joined forces with Cuba’s top musical talent.  The initiative created immersive cultural experiences with Cuban artists, musicians and other creatives.    The project program included a visit to Amadeo Roldan Music Conservatory to donate instruments to Cuban students and community projects.  The cultural exchange program is heavily focused on supporting the Cuban people as well as the young New Orleans musicians from the Trombone Shorty Foundation.

Beatrice Kwok works as a full-time Paralegal in our Corporate Department, and for the last 14 years she has also worked as a Certified Child Life Specialist.  As a Certified Child Life Specialist, Bea helps teenagers and their families cope with the stresses of severe illness, injury, trauma, disability, and sometimes even death. We are pleased to share with you the article that highlights Bea and all the amazing work that she’s done. 

The exhibition kicked off on Thursday, June 20th with a reception and special viewing of the collection. Partner, Anthony Sylvester introduced Jay Lustig, music and entertainment journalist and Bob Gruen for their conversation about rock and roll.  Attendees had the opportunity to learn many stories behind the iconic images. 

The exhibition will run from Friday, June 21 – Sunday, November 10, 2019.

The concert series will be held on Wednesdays during the month of July 2019 and will include performances by Louis Prima, Jr. and the Witnesses, Nicki Parrott Trio with Rossano Sportiello and Harry Allen, Danny Bacher and His All-Stars and The Bishop and His Abbotts featuring Rio Clemente, Flip Peters, Gene Perla and Bill Goodwin.

The exhibition will kick off on Thursday, June 20th with a reception and special viewing. Learn the stories behind the iconic images in this insightful conversation with legendary rock photographer, Bob Gruen, and music critic and rock & roll expert, Jay Lustig.

Tracy Child co-presented with peers from Goldman Sachs and Alliance Bernstein at the May 15th seminar at The Madison Hotel. The program discussed the unique characteristics of the Millennial generation and the obstacles advisors face and solutions for how to best serve this growing community.

This is the fourth consecutive year Sherman Atlas has made the list, this year we have moved up from #7 to #6 in the small company category, and are one of two ranked law firms ranked in the top ten for this category.

The exhibition celebrating the life and legacy of Louis Prima opened on May 1, 2019 at the New Orleans Jazz Museum, New Orleans, LA.

The free, day long concert will be held on August 17th, 2019 on the historic Morristown Green. For the first time, they won't need to worry about the weather, the festival has a backup venue: The 1,300-seat Mayo Performing Arts Center.

We are delighted to add that Partner, Sandra Brown Sherman was included on the Top 50 Women Lawyers in the State list.

The program was entitled "Arts, Management and Concert Promotion" and Mr. Sylvester addressed music business students about the strategies and ethics of negotiation.

J.P. Morgan hosted the next generation of their most successful clients and prospects, which consisted of roughly 50 attendees between the ages of 25-35 (with a minimum net worth of $25mm). The agenda covered technology/blockchain, entrepreneurship, real estate, estate planning, and philanthropy. The topics were presented by key, dynamic well known speakers including Ryan Serhant from Million Dollar Listing, the Founders of Boll & Branch, Divya Narendra from Sum Zero (Zuckerberg's Facebook partner tied to the famous Facebook dispute) and our very own, Tracy Child.
