Biography

Deanna Christian is an associate in the Corporate Group of Sherman Atlas, where her practice focuses on general corporate and transactional matters, including private equity transactions, general commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters.
Prior to joining Sherman Atlas, Deanna was an associate in the Private Equity and Venture Capital business unit of Day Pitney LLP.  Earlier in her legal career, Deanna served as the first special education law clerk to the New Jersey Office of Administrative Law. She received a post-graduate fellowship from Rutgers Law School-Newark's Education and Health Law Clinic, the focus being on representation, community education and policy advocacy for families of children with disabilities who attended charter schools in the Newark area. Deanna graduated first in her graduating class from Rutgers Law School- Newark, receiving the honor of Order of the Coif and interned for the Honorable Stuart Rabner, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
 
Deanna is dedicated to DE&I issues and pro bono service. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family and considers herself a food connoisseur.
