Sherman Atlas Sylvester & Stamelman LLP is pleased to introduce a new Partner, Michael A. Gallo and announce the appointment of two new Counsel, Christine M. Amara and Matthew Mirett.  We are also pleased to welcome two new Associates, Michael J. Gardella and Henry M. Marley.
 

Our newest Partner is: 
 
Michael A. Gallo joins Sherman Atlas as a partner in the Banking and Financial Services Group. Mike is a seasoned finance attorney whose practice encompasses the drafting, negotiating and closing of senior debt and mezzanine level financings and syndicated and bilateral debt offerings, including those involving Eurodollar rate financings, cross-border merger financings, intellectual property filings, international trade finance transactions, mezzanine debt and intercreditor issues, and hedge and derivative transactions.  His representation of third party debt providers spans a broad spectrum of transactional activity from mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, asset-based debt facilities and bond and other credit enhanced debt offerings, and includes participation in all aspects of due diligence, inclusive of review of merger agreements, review of all insurance and environmental policies, assessment of litigation matters and analysis of organizational documentation.  Mike received his law degree from Boston University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester.
 
Our newest Counsel are: 
 
Christine M. Amara is a corporate lawyer in the firm’s Corporate Law and Intellectual Property and Technology Groups, with a focus on technology and licensing transactions, intellectual property protection and executive employment matters.  She regularly represents clients in the consumer products, data sciences, finance and hospitality industries and enjoys working with family-owned, multi-generational businesses and client sales teams.   Christine received her law degree from Notre Dame Law School, and her undergraduate degree from Boston College.
 
 
Matthew Mirett is in the firm’s Banking and Financial Services and Corporate Law Groups and handles a broad range of commercial lending transactions, including commercial fee and leasehold mortgages, revolving credit and term loan facilities, construction and development financing transactions, and syndicated and participated credits.  In addition to representing financial institutions in a variety of real estate and asset-based finance transactions, Matt also frequently counsels the firm’s corporate clients in connection with their borrowing needs.  Matt received his law degree from Fordham Law School, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
 
Our newest Associates are: 
 
Michael J. Gardella has joined the firm’s Banking and Financial Services Group.  Mickey's practice focuses on drafting loan documents and reviewing leases, title reports, surveys, property management agreements and other due diligence items in connection with commercial lending transactions.  Mickey received both his law and undergraduate degrees from the University of Notre Dame.
 
Henry M. Marley has joined the firm’s Tax and Trusts & Estates Group.  Hank’s practice includes the preparation of various documents in connection with estate planning strategies, including wills and trusts, and also assists with estate administrations.  Hank received his law degree from Cornell Law School, and his undergraduate degree from Fordham University.
